1+1+1=ONE
Photographic poetry in 3 images
Photographic poetry in 3 images is the subject of this collection that we have titled 1+1+1=ONE in allusion to the well-known Gestalt maxim.
1+1+1=ONE is a deep exercise into the expressive possibilities —narratives, formal, etc.— of the triptych. The project is still under study and what we offer here are the results obtained so far.
As spectators, we have often wondered if the only meaning of triptychs is to segment a work into three parts to make it easier to transport. If so, we consider it an extravagance unless, as the title of this page suggests and so does the maxim we have above-mentioned, we understand it as The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The original photographs are chemical enlargements on silver chloro-bromide photographic paper.
The digital reproductions —from the originals— have been made of Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fiber paper of 200 grs with high stability pigmented inks.
